Exploring the expansive world of Hogwarts Legacy reveals countless hidden secrets, but few side quests are as uniquely whimsical as Well, Well, Well. Triggered by an unexpected encounter with a talking well, this quest tasks players with deciphering a sketchy parchment map to locate a valuable hidden chest. Finding the original magical well and decoding the visual clues provided on the parchment requires a bit of regional navigation across the Highlands.
Finding the Talking Well Location
To begin the quest, players must journey to the South Hogwarts region, specifically southeast of the small hamlet of Aranshire. As you navigate the rocky hillsides on foot or broom, you will hear a voice calling out for assistance. Interacting with the magical well and clearing the choking parchment trapped inside will reward you with the treasure map necessary to proceed.
Deciphering the Treasure Map Clues
The map obtained from the well displays a combination of landmarks including a stone bridge, ruined battlements, a prominent tree, and a distant windmill. These visual indicators point directly toward the Feldcroft region, specifically near the quiet settlement of Irondale. Flying southwest from Irondale toward the nearby ruins allows players to align the environment with the sketches shown on the parchment.
Solving the Puzzle and Claiming the Treasure
Once you arrive at the ruined fortress near the waterfall, cross the stone bridge to locate a small island featuring a single targetable tree. As illustrated on the bottom corner of the treasure map, players must cast the Levioso spell directly on the tree. The spell lifts the tree from the earth, exposing the hidden chest tangled within its root system. Opening the chest rewards players with gold and the exclusive Treasure-Seeker's Bicorne Hat.
